National Finland Rental Terms for travel between 01-Jan-2010 and 31-Dec-2012

Payment
An initial, non-refundable deposit will be secured at the time of booking confirmation. Accepted credit cards are Visa and MasterCard (transaction fee of 1.75% applies).

The balance will be secured directly by the supplier on arrival.

Additional Driver Policy
Additional driver’s fee is 20.00 EUR per rental + tax. Rental conditions apply to all additional drivers. 
There is no maximum number of additional drivers allowed per rental.

Age Requirements
Minimum rental age is 20 years for all car groups.
There is no maximum rental age. Young drivers surcharge is EUR 5.00 + tax, for drivers between 20-24 years of age.

Condition of Vehicle
Vehicle must be returned, normal wear & tear expected, in the same condition as when rented. If special cleaning is required a separate charge will be made directly to the customer

Cross Border Policy
Cross border travel is not permitted except to Sweden & Norway. No extra documents or advance notice is required for travelling to Sweden & Norway.
Travel to other countries is not allowed without written permission from rental company, which is granted on a case-by-case basis, and is at their own discretion. 
Cross border is prohibited to Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania & Russia - the customer would be fully liable for the whole purchase amount of the vehicle incase of theft in these countries.

License Requirements
Customers must present a full and valid driving license which has been held for a minimum of one year for all car groups. An International driving license is not required.

One Way Rentals
Permitted for all cars in Finland and cost as follows, outside of the city limits:
EUR 180.00 + tax for car groups FVMR and LVMR.
EUR 120.00 + tax for all other car groups.
Cars can be dropped off only in cities where there is an office
One ways are free of charge within the city limit.
International one way rentals are not permitted.

Out of Hours Policy
Out of hours pickups and returns are permitted in Finland only on request at a charge EUR 30.00 + tax.

Payment Policy
All major credit cards are accepted (American Express/Diners Club/MasterCard/Visa) as well as National vouchers and National Charge cards. Debit cards are not accepted (Visa Delta/Switch). Cash, Travellers cheques & Eurocheques are not accepted. Two major credit cards are required in the same name when renting the LXAR car group. A deposit of between EUR 100.00 - EUR 500.00 is required, depending on rental length which is held on the credit card until the vehicle is returned.  The deposit must be paid by credit card.

Refuelling Policy
The car will be supplied with a full tank of petrol. Customers must return the car with a full tank of petrol or a refuelling charge of EUR 6.00 + tax + petrol charges (in accordance with the current rate) will apply. The customer can return the car at the end of the rental without a full a tank of petrol providing they have paid for the fuel purchase option. The fuel purchase option is available at a cost of.
Diesel – EUR 1.54 per liter + tax
Bensin – EUR 1.99 per liter + tax.

Roadside Assistance
Roadside assistance is available for all rentals. The 24 hour roadside assistance emergency telephone number is 0800 188 288 and is serviced in English, Swedish and Finnish. The customer is entitled to repairs upto a maximum of 50.00 EUR providing the repairs are necessary for the rental to continue. The customer will require a receipt and report from the repair company detailing the repairs that have been made and the payment. The customer will be refunded the repair costs and/or a replacement car will be provided if necessary, depending on availability.

Special Equipment
Child infant seats (CSI) are available at a cost of 25.00 EUR per rental. The replacement amount is EUR 300.00. Suitability is 0-12 months or 0-13kg.
Child toddler seats (CST) are available at a cost of 25.00 EUR per rental.  The replacement amount is EUR 100.00. Suitability is 4-7 years or 15-30kg.
Child baby seats (CSB) are available at a cost of 25.00 EUR per rental. The replacement amount is EUR 300.00. Suitability is 1-3 years or 9-18kg.
GPS Navigation systems (NVS) are available at a cost of 12.00 EUR per day.  The replacement amount is EUR 400.00.
Ski racks (SKI) are available at a cost of 35.00 EUR per rental, excl vat, with a replacement amount (deposit) of 150.00 EUR, which is required at the time of rental.
Ski box (SBX) are available at a cost of 80.00 EUR per rental, excl vat, with a replacement amount (deposit) of 350.00 EUR, which is required at the time of rental.
Winter equipped vehicles are mandatory between 1st November to 31st March (see Winter Fee in the Surcharges section).

Customers must provide the age of any child that requires a child seat.
Baby seats are not loaded in the system. If the customer requires a baby seat please add remarks on the reservation and request at the rental counter.
Ski racks & Ski Boxes are permitted for all cars in Finland, except the EBMN & EDMR.
All special equipment is permitted for one way rentals.
All special equipment is available on request only, except for GPS Navigation systems, which are available on freesale.
All costs are excluding vat.

Surcharges
Airport fee is EUR 32.50 per rental + tax, at Helsinki Airport.
Airport fee is EUR 20.00 + tax, at all other Airports.
Winter fee is EUR 4.00 per day + tax, with a maximum charge of EUR 40.00 per rental + tax. MANDATORY for all rentals from 1st November to 31st March (see Winter Equipped Vehicle in Special Equipment).
Licence & Fees (LAF): EUR 3.69 excl vat per day with a maximum charge of EUR 51.66 per rental (14 days).

Tax
22% (23% from 1st July 2010)

Insurances & Waivers:
LDW – Loss Damage Waiver
LDW INCLUDES COLLISION DAMAGE WAIVER & THEFT WAIVER. IT WAIVES THE CLIENT'S FINANCIAL RESPONSABILITY FOR LOSS OR DAMAGE TO THE VEHICLE TO THE SUM OF THE DEDUCTIBLE.

If LDW is applied to the rental, the customer is still responsible for the Mandatory Excess Charge in case of Loss or Damage.
If LDW not applied to the rental, the customer is responsible for the Mandatory Liability amount of the vehicle in case of Loss or Damage.

On very rare occasions, a rate may be displayed incorrectly due to our, or a vehicle supplier's error. In such a case, if you book with us at a quoted rate that is incorrect, we will notify you of any price change and give you the option to proceed or cancel. We make every effort to keep information on our site up to date, but we cannot guarantee this website is free of errors or omissions and retain the right to update or change the information published at any time.

Liability
To the extent permitted by law we/the owners of this website will not be liable to you or to any third party (whether in contract, tort, or otherwise) for any direct, indirect or consequential loss or damage (including but not limited to any accident, injury, delay or loss of enjoyment) arising out of your reliance upon information contained on this website, including but not limited to your use (or inability to use) any products or services described or procured through this website.

When you pick up your vehicle, you will be required to sign a rental agreement with the supplier of the vehicle. Your rental and use of the vehicle will be governed by the terms of the rental agreement and any other documentation or information provided to you by the supplier at the time you pick up your vehicle. The rental agreement is between you and the supplier and we will not be liable to you or to any third party in relation to the terms of the supplier's rental agreement or any other documentation provided to you by the supplier at the time of pick up.

While we will make reasonable efforts to ensure we are representing only reputable suppliers, we make no warranty about the fitness or suitability of any third party (supplier) product or service and will not accept responsibility for the quality or fitness of any vehicle. We welcome feedback from our customers on their experience with our suppliers. We may, at our discretion, provide you with reasonable assistance in resolving any dispute you may have with a supplier.

Our total liability to you in relation to your use of this website and the information contained on this website will not exceed the dollar amount of the deposit we have received from you in relation to your booking/rental. Refunds will not be made for bookings cancelled due to inclement weather. Again, we strongly recommend that you take out travel insurance. Your use of this website is governed by the laws of New Zealand and the jurisdiction of the New Zealand courts.

Booking information
To make a booking you must complete our booking form which is easy to follow and secured with the latest encryption technology. Once we receive your form, we will, subject to availability, confirm your booking by emailing you a confirmation voucher and invoice.

If you are booking via phone, please make sure you have read the terms and conditions of the vehicle you wish to rent first. Our reservations consultant will ask you if you have read the terms and agree to them before proceeding. The onus is always on the renter to ensure they make themselves fully aware of the terms displayed on our website.

Information disclosure
In booking on this website you acknowledge that we disclose your information to your selected Supplier in order to provide the requested rental services.

Vehicle capacity and fitness to drive
Under no circumstances are you permitted to carry more passengers than the vehicle you rent is legally registered to carry, and if you do your insurance may be invalidated. The number of seatbelts (and passengers) is indicated next to each vehicle on this website. Luggage capacity where shown is an indication only and we will not be responsible should you be unable to fit your entire luggage into a vehicle. It is your responsibility to choose a journey that is within your capabilities. A vehicle supplier can refuse to rent a vehicle to any person who is in their opinion unfit to drive or does not meet eligibility requirements. In such circumstances we will have no further liability to you.

Refund Policy
We are committed to providing a quality service and aim for complete customer satisfaction. In the event of cancellation, any refunds or penalties are detailed in the terms and conditions of your selected vehicle that you are asked to read and accept at time of booking. In the event you are unsatisfied with our service, please contact us within 48 hours of placing your booking or request and we will work to resolve any issues and determine if compensation is due. In the event you have completed your rental and are unhappy with your vehicle, we are happy to assist you in seeking compensation from the operator of the vehicle.
