Sixt Finland Rental Terms for travel between 01-Jan-2010 and 31-Dec-2012

General Rental Information
The renter and the driver have to be in possession of a valid driving licence.
Please show a valid ID card or passport at time of pick up!
Special rental information by booking of Prepaid rates

Changing booking
A booking can be changed up to 48 hours before the start of the rental (on availability) in return for an alteration charge of EUR 20.00. Any payment already made towards the rental will not be refunded; nor shall any differential amount be refunded if this alteration leads to a lesser rental cost.

Cancellation
A booking can be cancelled before the start of the rental. In the event of cancellation, the payment already made towards the rental will be paid back subject to a cancellation charge. The cancellation charge shall be the amount of the rental charge ( including any extras and charges) for a maximum of 3 rental days. Cancellations can be made online or in writing and must be addressed to: Sixt Finland Headquarters, Veho Rent Oy Ab, Työpajankatu 2, 00580 Helsinki

No-show
In the event that the booked vehicle is not collected or not collected at the agreed time, the rental charge already paid shall be withheld in full.

Age Restrictions
In Finland, the following rules apply for the minimum age:
19 years for vehicles in groups MBMR, MBAR, MTMR, ECMR, CCMR, CDMR, CDAR and CWMR,
20 years for vehicles in groups IWMR, IDMR, IDAH and IDAR
21 years for vehicles in groups SDMR, SDAR, SWMR, SWAR, SVMR, SFMR, FDAR, FWAR, PDAR, PWAR, PFAR and FVMR,
25 years for vehicles in groups SSMR, LTAR, XDAR and XFAR.
A Young Driver Surcharge of EUR 28.50 per rental applies for drivers under 25 years.

Conditions of Payment
Flexi Tariff
We accept all credit cards from internationally recognised credit card companies - such as American Express, Diners Club, Eurocard/Mastercard, Visa.
We do not accept any prepaid cards or debit cards (VISA Electron, Maestro card).
Sixt also accepts AirPlus as payment.
Cash Payment is not accepted.
Express Sixt Card is only accepted in combination with a valid Credit Card.
Prepaid Tariff
The following credit cards are accepted: American Express, Eurocard/Mastercard and Visa. We do not accept any prepaid cards or debit cards (Visa Electron). The renter must be the owner of the indicated credit card. The authorised driver details and method of payment will be confirmed at reservation stage and cannot be amended. The confirmed credit card shouldbe valid and available for presentation on collection of the vehicle. All extra costs that occur during the car rental will be charged to this credit card.
By booking a prepaid rate, the credit card will be charged before the startof rental, directly with the estimated total amount of rental. The amount that will be charged on your credit card comprises the price of the rental as well as all additional extra fees.
The rental charge (plus any other charges agreed, e.g. exemptions from liability, delivery charges, airport charges etc.) plus Value Added Tax in the statutory amount applicable from time to time must, as a matter of principle, be paid in full for the agreed rental period, i.e. if the vehicle is collected late or returned early there shall be no refund.
Generally
An advance charge approval is obtained for the chosen means of payment as a security. The exact deposit is determined on collection since the amount is dependent on the vehicle.
Before one of the following vehicles is hired, we always obtain an approval to the amount of EUR 4,000.- : LTAR, XDAR and XFAR.
To hire one of the following vehicles, customers must present two credit cards: LTAR, XDAR and XFAR.

General Insurance Conditions
Third Party Insurance (TI)
Insurance coverage for the vehicle rented includes Third Party Liability with unlimited cover for personal injuries. Maximum cover for material damages is EUR 3,3 mil.
Excluded from the insurance is the use of the vehicle for the transport of dangerous goods. All insurance cover as part of the rental contract will become void, in particular, if an unauthorized driver has used the vehicle or if the driver of the vehicle does not possess the required driver's licence at the time of the event giving rise to claim.

Loss Damage Waiver (LDW)
Loss Damage Waiver removes the drivers responsibility to a part of the vehicle in case of damage or theft.
The cost of LDW is as follows: see table
If LDW is not accepted the customer will be held liable of the following amounts: EUR 4,000.-
If LDW is accepted, the customer is only responsible for the following amounts:
EUR 900.- MBMR, MBAR, MTMR, ECMR, CCMR, CDMR, CDAR, CWMR, IDMR, IDAR, IDAH, IWMR, SDMR, SDAR, SWMR, SWAR, SVMR, SFMR, FDAR, FWAR, PDAR, PWAR, PFAR, FVMR.
EUR 1,500.- SSMR, LTAR, XDAR, XFAR.
Excluded from the coverage are damages on tyres and windows.

Top Cover LDW
If LDW is already included in the rates, the renter can choose Top Cover LDW to reduce the Non-Waiverable Responsibility.

If Top Cover LDW is accepted, customer is only responsible for the following amounts: EUR 0.-.

Tire and Glass Coverage (GT)
Tire and Glass Coverage provides cover against the consequences of damages on tires, windscreen, side windows and backwindow.
The cost of GT is as follows: see table
If GT is not accepted the customer will be held liable for the full value of damages on tires, windscreen, side windows and backwindow.
If GT is accepted, customer is only responsible for the following amounts: EUR 0.-.

Delivery & Collection
During Opening Hours
Within city limits a Delivery/Collection Service charge of EUR 40.00 applies.
Outside city limits a Delivery/Collection Service charge of EUR 40.00 and an additional fee of EUR 1,23 per km applies.

Out Of Hours
An Out Of Hours surcharge of EUR 39.00 occurs for bookings out of opening hours.

One-Way Rentals
National
For One-Way-Rentals within Sixt locations in Finland a charge of EUR 123.- up to EUR 260.- applies.

International
All international One-Way Rentals are on request. Please contact your local rental station or the reservations center via email reservation@sixt.fi.
International One Way Rentals are allowed to the following countries:

Cross Border Rentals & Territorial Restrictions
Cross Border Rentals are on request only.
Cross Border Rentals are allowed to the following countries:
Andorra, Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Estonia, France, Germany, Great Britain, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Monaco, Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland.
Customers travelling to Baltic States (Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania)are requested to make the corresponding reservation 7 days before picking up the car and to announce this cross border rental at time of reservation.
Cross Border rentals to Russia are not possible.
In case of offence against Cross Border & Territorial Restrictions all insurances lose their validity.

Premium Location Fee
A Premium location fee of EUR 40.- occurs for rentals at airport stations per month or part thereof.

Accessories are bookable without obligation and subject to availability.
The required winter tyres (without spikes) for trips to foreign countries have to be requested in advance.

Winter package
A fee of EUR 3.69 per day (max. 14 days)occurs for rentals between November 1 and March 31. It includes amongst others winter tyres and ice scraper.

Additional Driver
An Additional Driver Surcharge of EUR 28.50 per rental applies.

Refuelling Charge
All vehicles are supplied with a full tank of fuel and should be refilled prior to return to Sixt, otherwise a charge of EUR 2.50 per litre of petrol or EUR 2.50 per litre of diesel (in addition to arefilling fee of EUR 10.00) will apply.

A Vehicle License Fee of EUR 3.94 per day occurs, maximum EUR 55.10 per month.

When you pick up your vehicle, you will be required to sign a rental agreement with the supplier of the vehicle. Your rental and use of the vehicle will be governed by the terms of the rental agreement and any other documentation or information provided to you by the supplier at the time you pick up your vehicle. The rental agreement is between you and the supplier and we will not be liable to you or to any third party in relation to the terms of the supplier's rental agreement or any other documentation provided to you by the supplier at the time of pick up.

While we will make reasonable efforts to ensure we are representing only reputable suppliers, we make no warranty about the fitness or suitability of any third party (supplier) product or service and will not accept responsibility for the quality or fitness of any vehicle. We welcome feedback from our customers on their experience with our suppliers. We may, at our discretion, provide you with reasonable assistance in resolving any dispute you may have with a supplier.

Our total liability to you in relation to your use of this website and the information contained on this website will not exceed the dollar amount of the deposit we have received from you in relation to your booking/rental. Refunds will not be made for bookings cancelled due to inclement weather. Again, we strongly recommend that you take out travel insurance. Your use of this website is governed by the laws of New Zealand and the jurisdiction of the New Zealand courts.

Booking information
To make a booking you must complete our booking form which is easy to follow and secured with the latest encryption technology. Once we receive your form, we will, subject to availability, confirm your booking by emailing you a confirmation voucher and invoice.

If you are booking via phone, please make sure you have read the terms and conditions of the vehicle you wish to rent first. Our reservations consultant will ask you if you have read the terms and agree to them before proceeding. The onus is always on the renter to ensure they make themselves fully aware of the terms displayed on our website.

Information disclosure
In booking on this website you acknowledge that we disclose your information to your selected Supplier in order to provide the requested rental services.

Vehicle capacity and fitness to drive
Under no circumstances are you permitted to carry more passengers than the vehicle you rent is legally registered to carry, and if you do your insurance may be invalidated. The number of seatbelts (and passengers) is indicated next to each vehicle on this website. Luggage capacity where shown is an indication only and we will not be responsible should you be unable to fit your entire luggage into a vehicle. It is your responsibility to choose a journey that is within your capabilities. A vehicle supplier can refuse to rent a vehicle to any person who is in their opinion unfit to drive or does not meet eligibility requirements. In such circumstances we will have no further liability to you.

Refund Policy
We are committed to providing a quality service and aim for complete customer satisfaction. In the event of cancellation, any refunds or penalties are detailed in the terms and conditions of your selected vehicle that you are asked to read and accept at time of booking. In the event you are unsatisfied with our service, please contact us within 48 hours of placing your booking or request and we will work to resolve any issues and determine if compensation is due. In the event you have completed your rental and are unhappy with your vehicle, we are happy to assist you in seeking compensation from the operator of the vehicle.
